Polisportive Giovanili Salesiane International

Tell me more!

The inaugural edition of the International Salesian Youth Games took place in 1990 on the island of Malta. These Games are now an annual event held in various countries among those associated with PGSI. Covering a range of sports disciplines, the International Games are open to girls and boys in two age categories. The primary goal is to create regular opportunities for social interaction, cultural exchange, socialization, and spiritual contemplation through the platform of sports. The Games, in line with Salesian principles, serve as a means to promote fair play, peace, solidarity, and essential values like respect, freedom, justice, and friendship.

Following a necessary pause during the pandemic years, the Games are set to resume with a grand event in Genoa in 2024. In 2025, we will celebrate the 33rd Salesian Youth Game. For the first time in its history, the International Salesian Youth Games will be hosted in Belgium, specifically in the city of Antwerp. The organizing team is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to welcome participants and introduce them to the charms of their beautiful city.
